Ten minutes from most of Alcoa
Alcoa and Maryville run together, so the trip is short no matter where the job is. From the airport area and the north end of town, take US-129 (Alcoa Highway) south into Maryville. From the I-140 (Pellissippi Parkway) corridor, follow it toward Maryville and cut over to the yard. From the older neighborhoods around downtown Alcoa, it's a few minutes of surface streets. Because we're this close, Alcoa crews often treat us as part of the job loop: load the truck, drop at the yard, and come back for the next load without burning half the morning. That is the real savings on a slab or parking lot job with a lot of trips.
Commercial and industrial concrete
Alcoa has more commercial and industrial ground than most towns its size: the airport area, retail pads along the main corridors, warehouses, and older industrial sites. Those jobs tend to produce thick, heavily reinforced concrete. That's fine here. Rebar and wire mesh can stay in the concrete; we handle it during processing. Big pieces are fine too. We also take broken asphalt and millings from parking lot repair and repaving, kept in their own pile. What we can't take is mixed debris: wood, drywall, roofing, insulation, trash, or anything hazardous. Alcoa jobs and the county landfill
Alcoa is in Blount County, so the Blount County Landfill is an option for concrete. It charges about $60 per ton, keeps weekday hours only (roughly 7 AM to 3 PM), and may turn away haulers from outside the county. For a homeowner with a single pickup load, that's an annoying trip. For a contractor running a tandem all day, it's a real cost line. Our yard takes clean loads free with no scale, stays open until 5 PM on weekdays, and is open Saturday 8 AM to noon. That gives Alcoa crews a place to clean up a site at the end of the day or the end of the week.
Recycled base for Alcoa pads and lots
The concrete Alcoa crews drop off becomes recycled concrete aggregate. RCA crusher run (1 inch minus with fines) compacts hard and works well under building pads, parking areas, equipment yards, and driveways. Since Alcoa jobs are so close to the yard, it's easy to drop the old slab and pick up base for the new one in the same run. RCA does the same job as traditional crusher run on most pad and lot work.
